Engineerex was contracted by Alfred Duma Local Municipality to provide consulting services for the design of bulk electrical services(Medium and Low Voltage for a new mixed use development site.

Uhandisi Solutions did concept, preliminary and detailed designs for medium and low voltage bulk services. We also did the full pricing of the design and prepared the tender documentation for council approval.

The medium and low voltage electrical bulk services design and tender document was accepted and signed off to go out on tender.

Shuma’s client, the department of health in Mpumalanga had technical challenges in their Waste Water Treatment Plants due to lack of As-Built drawings.

Solution:
Uhandisi Solutions conducted site visits in their plants to collect data. We then analysed the data (Pictures and drawings) to develop As-built drawings and provide technical reports.

The As-built drawings assisted Shuma’s client to comply with relevant regulatory standards relating to the operations of Waste Water Treatment Plants.

Business Problem:
Congo Energy's client, Congo Equipment SARL, had a power station built at its new Luano site in Lubumbashi with generators that should synchronize and share the load according to energy demand. Congo Energy had been entrusted with the commissioning and programming task to synchronize three generators through command / control cabinets equipped with Deep Sea PLC controllers.

Solution:
Uhandisi Solutions carried out, under Congo Energy, all on-site acceptance tests and the necessary modifications before programming the Deep See PLC controllers. We then produced detailed drawings of the system as built.

Business Value:
The power station has been put into operation and functioning automatically with synchronization / loads sharing according to the energy demand. This automation has enabled Congo Equipment to save on fuel consumption and maintenance.

Business Problem:
Uhandisi Solutions had been asked to make the electrical connections for the assembly of various process control components of their new DynoPro2 test bench, at their new site in Luano in Lubumbashi.

Solution:
Uhandisi Solutions, carried out site visits to the facilities to collect data. We then analyzed the data, but especially the detailed technical drawings provided by the manufacturer. This allowed us to make all the necessary connections.

Business Value:
The interconnections between the different components allowed the commissioning and online testing of the test bench by the manufacturer, before handing it over to Congo Equipment. With this test bench, our customer is able to test all kinds of large diesel and electric motors for the whole region.

Business Problem:
The University of Limpopo has got aging electrical infrastructure which has reached its lifespan. As a result, the university would experience breakdowns and spares are nowhere to be found as they are absolute.

Solution:
Refurbishment of 11kV oil switchgear to 11kV SF6 Schneider RM6 at substations A6 – I Block, M1 – Library and A2 – Q Block. This solution may also be referred to as modernization of electrical infrastructure.

The University of Limpopo’s Gate 2 Generator plant would start and breakdown due to lack regular testing, monitoring and maintenance. This plant is a critical asset to the university as it provides standby power supply to the entire university community.

Uhandisi Solutions provides a 24hrs standby, weekly onload testing and service maintenance to this 4.8MW Emergency Standby Generator Plant.

Uhandisi Solutions deployed their Fluke 1736 Power Logger to capture the power consumption at each branch and delivered a report to confirm the standby diesel generator size to be used for replacement of old generator sets.
